Vision Zero data

Vision Zero is a global safety initiative to eliminate all traffic fatalities and significant injuries while increasing healthy and equitable mobility.

Vision Zero data sets that contain geospatial information on traffic related incidents are available for some Canadian cities.

HD Vector Basemap

Our primary HD map covers all of Waterloo Region in Ontario, Canada, a diverse geographic area of 1,369 square kilometres (529 square miles) with a population of 617,870 (2019 estimate).

The Waterloo Region HD base map comprises a feature set derived from streetview and aerial imagery. The HD base map was created by Ecopia using their Machine Navigation technology.

LiDAR Data

Jakarto has provided enriched colorized LiDAR data covering approximately 30 square kilometres of key areas in Waterloo Region. The dataset includes both point clouds and monochrome raster imagery.

 Open Data Sources

The Open Data Sources map is an aggregated collection of open source HD mapping vectors covering the Region of Waterloo. The map includes over 50 feature classes from transportation, utility, regulatory, service, obstacle, infrastructure, boundary, and environment datasets. 

Streetview Imagery

Ecopia has contributed streetview imagery covering approximately 30 square kilometres in Waterloo Region as part of the OpenHDMaps project. The streetview data includes urban, residential and commercial areas as well as highways and rail crossings.
